opis produktu
Polypropylene Geotextile for Mine Embankment Reinforcement

This high-strength woven polypropylene geotextile is engineered specifically for mine embankment reinforcement and stabilization applications. Manufactured from high-tenacity polypropylene yarns using precision warp and weft weaving techniques, it features a tight, regular woven structure that delivers exceptional dimensional stability and creep resistance under long-term embankment loads.

Product Specifications
Property Specification
Tensile Strength Range 40kN/m to 150kN/m
Available Widths 2m to 6m (customizable)
Special Treatments Anti-corrosion, anti-mildew, UV-stabilization
Key Functions & Benefits
  • Reinforcement Performance: Effectively distributes embankment soil weight and external forces across the entire structure, reducing local stress concentration and minimizing settlement and collapse risks
  • Embankment Stability: Woven structure interlocks with soil particles to enhance soil cohesion and internal friction angle, preventing embankment sliding
  • Layer Separation: Isolates embankment fill material from underlying foundation soil, preventing material mixing and ensuring foundation bearing capacity
  • Drainage Performance: Facilitates rapid drainage of rainwater and groundwater, reducing soil moisture content and preventing softening and damage
Application Scenarios

This geotextile is primarily used for reinforcement and stabilization of various mine embankment structures:

  • Mine tailings dam embankments (core structure of tailings ponds)
  • Waste rock embankments for storage facilities
  • Road embankments connecting mining areas with external roads
  • Fill embankments for mining construction site leveling
  • Abandoned mine remediation projects for improved safety

Particularly suitable for embankments built on soft soil foundations or in humid mining environments where stability is critical. Widely applied across metal mines, coal mines, and non-metallic mining operations.

Installation & Usage Guidelines

Preparation: Level and compact the embankment foundation, removing sharp objects (stones, tree roots) to prevent geotextile puncturing.

Installation: Lay geotextile along embankment direction with 20-30cm longitudinal overlap and 15-20cm transverse overlap. Secure joints with seaming tape or stitching.

Filling: Use layered filling and compaction (≥95% compaction degree). Avoid dumping fill material directly onto geotextile from height to prevent damage.

Securing: Fix top and bottom edges with anchor bolts or pressing plates to prevent displacement.

Maintenance: Regularly monitor for cracks, settlements, or geotextile exposure. Implement reinforcement measures if abnormalities are detected.

Chemical Exposure: Avoid using solvents and strong oxidants near the geotextile to prevent corrosion.
